Similarly to other students bowls my design was also inspired by nature. I used an image of an Orchid flower and through multiple sketches evolved the flowers outline to create my pattern. This was the first step in the process of creating my fruit bowl and took many weeks to refine and develope on the computer.
The transformation of this image is very interesting and far from its original appearance. This development has created a flowing and continuous pattern, which is suitable to create a sturdy fruit bowl.
